The Radford men's and women's cross country teams both return to action on Friday as they compete in the Wake Forest Invitational in Kernersville, N.C. The men's 8K race is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., followed by the women's 6K at 5:15.

The Radford men's cross country team got three season-best performances to finish in the top third of a 39-team field at the Royals XC Challenge, hosted by Queens University, on Friday.

With several of its earlier meets this season plagued by weather issues, Radford head coach Eric Thatcher announced several changes to the teams' remaining 2015 schedules.

Due to course conditions, the Radford cross country teams did not compete in Saturday's Upstate Invitational. It is the third time this season that a Highlanders' meet was affected by weather.

The Radford cross country teams are set to compete for the third weekend in a row as they travel to Spartanburg, S.C. for the USC Upstate Invitational on Saturday morning.
